Oinomikado Nobukazu (大炊御門信量)

Nobukazu OINOMIKADO (1442-August 31, 1487) was Kugyo (top court official) during the Muromachi period. He served the two generations of Emperor Gohanazono (the 102nd) and Emperor Gotsuchimikado (the 103rd) and was promoted to Juichii (Junior First Rank), Udaijin (minister of the right). His biological father was Udaijin Sanekazu SANJO and his foster father was Udaijin Nobumune OINOMIKADO. His wife was the daughter of Mochisue OGIMACHI. His child was Udaijin Tsunena OINOMIKADO.

In 1457, he became Jusanmi (Junior 3rd Rank) and was raised to Kugyo. Later, he was promoted successively and became Naidaijin in 1479 after experiencing Gon Chunagon (a provisional vice-councilor of state), Gon Dainagon (a provisional major councilor), Ukone no daisho (a major captain of the Right Division of Inner Palace Guards) and Sakone no daisho (a major captain of the Left Division of Inner Palace Guards). He became Juichii (Junior 1st Rank) the next year and resigned Sakone no daisho. He was appointed to Udaijin in 1483.
